Lost In Oblivion Update (Expected Content)

Hello Scavengers! It's almost been 2 weeks since I announced Lost in Oblivion. I've been hard at work drawing and writing and wanted to do another smaller showcase, this time discussing the expected content and price! As you can see by the images, we have a lot to cover this time around so let's jump into it with the expected content!

This supplement will be split into three sections, each of which has its own subsections. The first will be Character Creation. As with everything in the book there's no new rules, instead just additions to what's available with the caveat of Archetypes which I may get into with a later DevLog. Within this section will be 6 new origins, 3 new Allegiances tables, and 6 Archetypes which help add some more depth to your characters.

Second on the docket is Plunder. This section is quite lengthy, dealing with new weapons and gear ranging from the easy to find to some truly rare pieces of equipment. Arms and Items deal with non-unique weaponry - either common retrofits or stock weapons found throughout Tenebris. Each has its own unique set of mechanics, such as the tracking H-Tek Guided Blade to the bullet fire-hose of the Boarding Rifle. There's also Relics From the Void, a selection of void touched and often cursed weapons and items that are truly unique. These are a great tool to arm not just players with, but also enemies. Speaking of...

The Foes section offers a plethora of pre-made stat blocks to help Referees build encounters out on the fly. Split into three sections, the first one offers common people and creatures that one may find themselves at odds with. This includes pirates, hostile scavengers, and territorial fauna. Real monsters are found in the Abyssal Beasts section. This is creatures and people touched by the void. Violent without cause, these are things that cannot be reasoned with - only fought. This includes the Echo Beasts - who mimics human speech to lure people into traps - and the Wormlord, a hive of memory stealing worms looking to fully ascend into sentience. Finally, there's Hostile Voidcraft. Similar to the others, these are prebuilt ships for you to reference when combat breaks out - letting you quickly get to the action. These range from sleek and deadly AI Fighter Craft to bulky repurposed yachts.

There's a lot of content in this book! Each item in the Plunder Section has its own unique piece of art (nearly 30!) and there's a few more pieces scattered throughout, but the biggest thing has been the plethora of written content. There are around 39 statblocks in the Foes section, and each weapon and enemy not only has stats but also a lore blurb to give you some ideas. We're looking at nearly 50 pages right now! And we're still looking to be on track for an end of August release, though July is a busy month for me I expect to be able to finish the Plunder Section hopefully soon.

Finally, I have decided that Lost In Oblivion will be a fully paid for piece of content instead of a Pay What You Want like Violent Delights is. The software I'm using does have a cost with it (Violent Delights was made in Google Docs, which is free) and I would like to try and at least recoup those.  I'm planning for it to be $5 USD

Thanks everyone! I'm in the official Death In Space Discord under Ben Ziegler. Feel free to reach out if you have questions! I'm also sharing some more art and content there.

Have a good one, thanks for reading!
